This page is dedicated to Bioware’s latest release: Dragon Age 2. After reading many complaints about the Nightmare difficulty setting, I decided to offer some help for those who want to beat the entire game on the toughest level.
After playing the game several times on Nightmare Difficulty with all imaginable setups, I finally came upon the ultimate fun party that even differs a bit from the usual One-2H-Warrior-plus-3-Range-Setup.
Even without a tank this set up is absolutely viable to beat the game without using a single mana-, health- , or stamina potion and still keep your companions alive and kicking at all time.
My party consist of one Assassin, one Archer and two Mages. The idea is to deliver a vast amount of burst damage and thus eliminate the most dangerous and constantly recurring opponent in this game: The enemy rogue.
I will suggest character builds, quest orders, equipment choices and strategies on some of the hardest fights, so that even beginners will have a smooth time with notorious and feared enemies like Ancient Rock Wraith, High Dragon or Brekker, to name just a few.
All informations on this page are based on the PC version 1.02 (partially updated to 1.03!) including the DLC "The Black Emporium".
